Tour Day 1: Delhi - Rishikesh
representative greets you at New Delhi and transfers you in an air-conditioned
vehicle for a drive to Rishikesh. Enjoy a hearty breakfast during this (224 kms.)
Check-in at a pre-booked hotel in Rishikesh. Enjoy the unique atmosphere while
you are at leisure in the evening.
Tour Day 2: Rishikesh - Haridwar
After breakfast, proceed on an excursion to Haridwar, an hourís drive from
Rishikesh. An English-speaking guide will accompany you on this tour. Visit Har
ki Paudi and other places of interest. Spend some time by the Ganges, hearing
the temple bells chime and watching devotees offering prayers or taking a holy
dip. After sightseeing in Haridwar, return to your hotel in Rishikesh for your
Tour Day 3: Rishikesh - New Delhi
After breakfast, set out on a sightseeing tour of Rishikesh. Rishikesh is also
known as the 'place of sages', it is at the confluence of the Chandrabhaga and
the Ganga rivers. In the afternoon, drive back to Delhi and check-in at a hotel
for your overnight stay.
Tour Day 4: New Delhi - Jaipur : Mehandi-Sangeet ceremony
Leave for Jaipur early in the morning. Drive past the majestic Amber Fort,
Amber, the ancient capital of the state. Check-in at a pre-booked star hotel in
Jaipur. Relax a few hours after lunch.
Proceed to the magnificient banquet hall
for start of
the wedding ceremonies with the Mehandi-Sangeet program. Appoint a bollywood
star or entertainer at the service of your guests or tap your feet to the DJ
music. As the entertainment goes on
henna is applied to the bride and women folk. A traditional haat-bazaar is
specially appointed for your guests. Enjoy the sumptous buffet dinner spread
laid to your choice.
Tour Day 5: Jaipur: Royal Indian wedding
Wake up to a relaxed morning and go through a specially appointed yoga -
meditation session. After breakfastyou are at leisure for
shopping, sight seeing, using the beautician services on your own.
In the evening get ready in the best of your
finery for a royal Indian wedding. The groom and his contingent gets ready for
the royal wedding procession while the bride and her family gear up to recieve
The shaahi baraat is led by ornamentally
decorated camels and horses. A fine brass band plays the feet
tapping wedding tunes. The procession is lined up with colored light bearers and
fireworks are lighted announcing the approaching procession. The groom sits on an
elegantly decorated elephant.
The procession is welcomed with flowers
amidst the tunes of shehnai, floating service of high-tea and tasteful snacks. A
live ochestra plays soft music as you observe your customary wedding rituals.
Treat your guests with a lavish dinner comprising of Indian delicacies, dishes
and sweets with vaierty of Indian and continental live counters.
The newly wedded couple is escoted to a
royal suite of a legendary palace.
Tour Day 6: Jaipur - Delhi
After an early breakfast at the hotel, leave for Delhi about 5 hours drive from
Jaipur. Upon arrival in Delhi,
you will be
dropped at the international airport or any location of your convenience.
